From my first call to walking out after surgery, every single person was kind, professional, and unbelievably organized. The facility is spotless and calming, the staff explained everything clearly, and I felt genuinely cared for the whole time.
I had a lumbar sympathectomy for severe plantar hyperhidrosis. The process was smooth, on time, and I was kept comfortable throughout. Post-op instructions were clear, and the follow-up was attentive without being overbearing.

From our very first interaction, Dr. Eraj Basseri and his entire team went above and beyond. The early phone calls (especially those helping us navigate and secure insurance coverage) set the tone for the entire experience. I am 45 years old and have lived with hyperhidrosis my whole life in both my hands and feet . Well up until about 7 months ago when I had the surgery for my hands . Let me tell you that I could not be happier with the outcome! Not only do my hands not sweat anymore but my feet have also drastically improved as a result. Dr Basseri and his team are amazing. I have struggled with hyperhidrosis for 27 years! I’m a registered nurse and love to network with people and touch and hug friends and family. All of which was extremely challenging when worrying about my palmar and facial hyperhidrosis. Dr. Basseri and his team are so kind, empathetic and understanding. THESE are the experts. They are worth a flight and stay in Beverly Hills– this procedure has already completely changed my life. I had so much fear prior to meeting Dr. Basseri about potential side effects from ETS surgery (such as compensatory sweating), but with his knowledge and expertise, these things are nowhere even close to being a problem in my life post surgery (like some of the things you may read on the internet). I’m more confident than ever and I’m just so thankful I finally did it. My only regret is not having done it sooner! The entire team was nothing short of amazing. I spent ten years avoiding ETS surgery because I spent too much time fearing it due to negative online forums about the procedure. Modern medicine and ETS surgery have come a long way and I wish I’d done this sooner. I had my surgery in May 2025 and it has absolutely improved my quality of life . My palmar hyperhidrosis is completely gone! Post surgery I have very minor compensatory sweating on my lower back (only when working out and in the heat) which is very manageable. This however, is nothing in comparison to the amounts I used to drip on my hands. I also knew going in what to expect after the procedure because it was thoroughly explained in my pre-op appointment. I cannot say enough how amazing my results have been and how much my life has improved post ETS. I no longer live with the crippling anxiety or embarrassment from this condition and I wish the same for all of you reading this.

My son had his surgery in May 2025. Long story short DO IT!!! My only regret is not doing it sooner. For years I researched potential remedies and solutions, but literally nothing worked; not meditation (i tried numerous ones), not any topical creams, not botox, not the iontophoresis machine (which in fact made my hyperhidrosis worse), nothing! I had lost all hope. When I reached the point where my hyperhidrosis was literally preventing me from my starting my career (my dream job), this is when I finally expressed to my mom and sister what I had been going through. I underwent both the ETS and ELS surgeries earlier this year and the results have been life changing! Dr. Basseri was amazing, taking the time to fully explain the procedure and answer all the questions I had. The team at both the office and surgery center were incredible and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable! Before speaking to Dr. Basseri, I was hesitant about the surgery due to concerns about compensatory sweating. He explained that it’s minimal and predictable, only occurring in situations where anyone would sweat, like hot weather or when working out. I have found it to be completely manageable and so much better than living with dripping hands!

I’m so grateful this place exists. I’m in my late 40’s and suffered from Hyperhidrosis of the hands and feet my entire life. This has caused several issues over the years ranging from social anxiety to physical limitations. After copious amounts of research, I decided to set up a consolation with Dr. Basseri and decided to take the leap. So glad I did! Dr. Basseri preformed the thoracic sympathectomy (for the palms) 6 months later. I was so happy with the outcome, I scheduled the lumbar sympathectomy the following year. It was a game changer for me. Wish I discovered them years ago. Grateful for Dr. Basseri and Dr. Reisfeld!

My husband went to Dr. Reisfeld in 2001 to cure his Hyperhidrosis – it was a life-changing surgery. After dealing with the embarrassment of wet palms for his whole life, avoiding shaking hands with business associates and trying not to smear and soak contracts- this was one of the best decisions he ever made.
Unfortunately our daughter inherited the
condition. We took her to Dr. Reisfeld- at age 14 she had the surgery done and now she gets to enter high school without suffering with dripping wet hands.

OMG–I’m dry!! I cannot believe it! What a life changing experience for me…Whoever is on the fence or considering, look no further. I’ve suffered with hyperhidrosis for about 30 years (right around puberty). I had surgery in my early 20’s, which was successfully, but it only cured my hands and underarms. It didn’t cure my feet 🙁 Hyperhidrosis was not really a known medical condition when I was younger and I seemed like I was the only one suffering with this condition. Luckily, I did find a doctor who was able to help, but it was only for the hand and underarms. Several years after my surgery, I started having compensatory sweating in other areas of my body I never had issue before. This was a gradual effect and then it became out of control towards my 40’s. Once again, I started to do a ton of research, I tried several homeopathic alternatives (medication wasn’t an option for me), but nothing seemed to help. Finally, I came across the Center For Hyperhidrosis (CFH). I discovered CFH is the ONLY center who cures the feet (plantar) area. It seemed too good to be true. And not only that, CFH does an entirely different procedure than the one I did 21 years prior. New technology + knowledge = no crazy compensatory sweating!! Yaaah!! I kicked the tire for a couple of years, since I still was worried that I “might” still get compensatory sweating, but I finally had the procedure in Dec of 2021. I’m so very glad I did it and should have trusted my gut much earlier. One great thing, I was able to discuss everything over the phone directly with Dr. Bassier before I made any decisions. What also encouraged me tremendously, was that I was able to communicate with several of Dr. Bassarie’s past patients. They were all so kind to share their stories, which I could 100% relate too. I was super excited every time I spoke to someone, and at that point I was convinced!

Not only was the surgery a HUGE success, I have to give 5 Stars to Dr. Basseri and his staff. They are first class and so professional. His office was immaculate, his entire team from intake to post op were amazing. I felt like I knew everyone the moment I arrived for my pre-op. I’m still in touch with the center and Dr. Basseri if I have any questions. They’re so quick to respond and so helpful. I promise you, you’re in great hands if you do decide to have the procedure–it’s a life changer for sure!

I was so happy to have found the Center For Hyperhidrosis when I did! I’ve dealt with hyperhidrosis for 27 years, and I had no idea that there was even a diagnosis, or that it could be treated effectively. I tried all of the creams and treatments that were available, and nothing really worked at all. I had previously had my surgery for sweaty palms with my Kaiser doctor here in San Francisco, and that went very smoothly. I spent one night in the hospital, and honestly felt like I could’ve used another, which I should’ve taken as everything is covered at Kaiser. I was surprised to hear that for the foot surgery, Dr. Basseri said that I would be able to go home that day. I certainly had a difficult recovery from the hand surgery, as my lungs felt weak for sometime afterwards, and the pain management was a bit tricky for the first two days.

I expected similar recovery time and treatment from the Center For Hyperhidrosis, and if I’m being honest, I wish that they did offer this. Because most people are flying in for this surgery, They are often getting into an Uber and going back to their hotels to recover, when I find that it probably would’ve been much more comfortable, and made me feel safer, to have been able to stay in the hospital, or facility overnight. However, the process was very smooth with Dr. Basseri and his team. I flew in on Thursday morning to Beverly Hills, I went in for my in person, preop consultation, and this went very smoothly! They walked me through every single step of the surgery, and the process and the recovery, and showed me where everything would happen and talk to me about, all of the little details that might have slipped before hand. The one thing I do wish is that I was more prepared for this consultation. I was told that I would need to come in to their office for a consultation the day before my surgery, however, I was not exactly sure what would happen during this appointment. While I have the entire day free because I flew to LA for the surgery, I did not realize I would be there for hours going through every single detail of both my medical situation, and what procedure was to come the next day. Moving forward I think they should definitely give a little summary on what to expect on that day, but I don’t want that to take away from the fact that I was very grateful to have that time and guidance before the big day.

Everything went super smoothly for my surgery, I had massive anxiety, and they helped me with that, and gave me some thing for that, I don’t remember much from the day, but I do remember waking up immediately with dry feet, and my feet have not sweat again since then! After the surgery for my hands, I was left with a lot of compensatory sweating in areas of my body, that I normally did not sweat before, but after this surgery, I found that overall compensatory sweating has gone down, which is an amazing, added bonus! I also want to add that Dr. Basseri has been incredibly attentive and responsive. He really doesn’t go more than 10 minutes without responding to a text message whether it’s a question a comment or really just want to discuss some thing we’re feeling uneasy about or may be a side effect from a medication. He makes himself very available, even right when he gets out of surgery, and I found this to be very helpful and made me feel so much more at ease, knowing that he was there if I needed him.

The last bit of feedback I will give here is that I also wish I had clear expectations when it came to scarring. I actually had no idea that they would be making three incisions on each side of my abdominal section until the week of. As someone with brown skin, I wish I knew this because my skin scars and creates dark spots very easily and quickly and I would’ve been more on top of getting scar cream and scar tape. This was really not mentioned to me or suggested until I asked about it and followed up. Otherwise, this is a great team of very passionate people, and they took amazing care of me. If you’re hesitating, having the surgery, I would just do it! It is absolutely life-changing and I wonder if Dr. Basseri will share this technique in the future so that other doctors can help their patients around the country.

Dr. Basseri is wonderful. I recommend him and the Khalili Center if you want to get weight loss surgery. Recently I had my check up and I have kept off over 100 pounds. I am healthy now. Dr. Basseri has been a big cheerleader. I am very thankful to him.

Dr. Basseri started out being the best doctor I have ever met. He was so polite and helpful and he was a great surgical doctor for me I had gastric banding in 2012 and he has been very professional and helpful to me. But lately I have found his demeanor and tardiness as offensive and his lack of time with me as rude. I understand that doctors are busy, but it would be better to set up better expectations in the beginning of the relationship. Then I would know what to expect. I do love the Khalili Center and I am very happy I got banded.

I was referred to Dr Basseri by my PCP for gastric bypass surgery, his professionalism and really warm manner put me at ease and his confidence was very well received. Follow up care post operatively has been very thorough and complete, access to him for any questions or appointments has been easy and very prompt. I can’t recommend him and his associates at the Khalili Bariatric Center enough.

I just had my Lap Band Surgery done with Dr Basseri, and the surgeons at the Khalili Center. The process was just out of this world great, Dr Basseri gave me the much needed support I needed to go through this life changing step. Early I was not ready to do any type of surgery, with my weight out of control, and my health getting worst by the day, I had to do something. Two of my buddies got the lap band (not with Dr Basseri,) one did it out of a office in Irvine, CA that did his surgery in Mexico, which I do not know why after all the horror stories you hear. Another one of my friends did it through his HMO, do not know the name of the doctor, once these two had done the surgery, came 2011, I started looking into the process and searching many doctors. Came across Doctor Basseri through a friend, after a couple meetings and a lot of research, I found this to be my doctor, and must I say, I made the correct choice. They facility looks like it is straight out of a movie, very nice. Free valet parking, you get that 90210 feel. They support groups where just great, people from all walks of life, people who are doing the surgery and people who had it done. The support groups are free, so I had a chance to feel in those couple of questions I had left over to ask.I was having some financial problems and almost canceled the surgery, but Doctor Basseri called me and told me “Alex, if money is the issue, do not worry about it, but if your changing your mind because of something else, that is different.” I was almost in tears, no doubt about it, they helped me get to the goal amount I needed to push through the surgery. I am typing this the day after my surgery, and I feel great. I’m moving around, at back to work (depending on your line of work, you might not be able to go back to work.) I work behind a computer, so it is simple for me.A little about the surgery, another reason I went with the Khalili center was because they used Cedars-Sinai Hospital to do the surgery, rather then in house. The problem with in house Lap Band surgery is that if your heart stops, most likely they will have to call an ambulance to come take you to a hospital, if your in a hospital they have the tools within seconds and can attempt to start your heat back up. It is very rare for your heart to stop, but hey, you do not want to be that one.
