I was so happy to have found The Center For Hyperhidrosis when I did! I’ve dealt with hyperhidrosis for 27 years, and I had no idea that there was even a diagnosis or that it could be treated effectively. I tried all of the creams and treatments that were available, and nothing really worked at all.

I was surprised to hear that Dr. Basseri said that I would be able to go home that day [for the foot surgery].

I certainly had a difficult recovery from the hand surgery, as my lungs felt weak for [some time] afterward, and the pain management was a bit tricky for the first two days.

I expected similar recovery time and treatment from the Center For Hyperhidrosis, and if I’m being honest, I wish that they did offer this.

Because most people are flying in for this surgery. They are often getting into an Uber and going back to their hotels to recover, when I find that it probably would’ve been much more comfortable and made me feel safer to have been able to stay in the hospital, or facility overnight.

However, the process was very smooth with Dr. Basseri and his team. I flew in on Thursday morning to Beverly Hills, I went in for my [in-person] pre-op consultation, and this went very smoothly!

They walked me through every single step of the surgery, and the process and the recovery, and showed me where everything would happen and [talked to me about] all of the little details that might have slipped beforehand.

Everything went super smoothly for my surgery. I had massive anxiety, and they helped me with that and gave me [something] for that.

I don’t remember much from the day, but I do remember waking up immediately with dry feet, and my feet have not sweat again since then!

After the surgery for my hands, I was left with a lot of compensatory sweating in areas of my body that I normally did not sweat before, but after this surgery, I found that overall compensatory sweating has gone down, which is an amazing, added bonus!

I also want to add that Dr. Basseri has been incredibly attentive and responsive. He really doesn’t go more than 10 minutes without responding to a text message whether it’s a question comment or really just [want] to discuss [something] we’re feeling uneasy about or [maybe] a side effect from a medication.

He makes himself very available, even right when he gets out of surgery, and I found this to be very helpful and made me feel so much more at ease, knowing that he was there if I needed him.

This is a great team of very passionate people, and they took amazing care of me. If you’re hesitating about having the surgery, I would just do it! If you have hyperhidrosis, you know that it is a condition that affects every aspect of your life—taking a toll on your mental & physical health. When I was 16 years old I had the ETS surgery and it changed my life for the better so when I found out there was another surgery (ELS) for my feet I was thrilled! I was also a little nervous since Dr. Basseri is the only surgeon in the country offering this procedure and to be honest it sounded too good to be true. With that being said, as soon as I did the phone consultation and thereafter met him in person I knew I was in great hands. He’s one of the only doctors I’ve ever met that truly understands the gravity of this condition and can empathize with your personal, lifelong struggles. Modern medicine and ETS surgery have come a long way and I wish I’d done this sooner. I had my surgery in May 2025 and it has absolutely improved my quality of life . My palmar hyperhidrosis is completely gone! Post surgery I have very minor compensatory sweating on my lower back (only when working out and in the heat) which is very manageable. This however, is nothing in comparison to the amounts I used to drip on my hands. I also knew going in what to expect after the procedure because it was thoroughly explained in my pre-op appointment. After many failed interventions for my daughters hyperhidrosis, I was told of a surgeon in CA that could help my child. Thankfully, I pursued it and made the call!

Dr. Brasseri and his team are the absolute best! My teenage daughter suffers/suffered from hyperhidrosis on her palms and feet, and after years of unsuccessful treatments she decided she wanted to look into getting surgery. We were referred to The Center for Hyperhidrosis and from the initial conversation with Dr. Brasseri we knew she would be in great hands. He clearly communicated every step of the surgical process, what recovery would be like, potential side effects, and patiently answered all of our questions.
Because of Dr. Brasseri’s knowledge and expertise she elected to get the endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS). Did a lot of research on this surgery before setting an appointment and I was very scared due to lots of misinformation/horror stories online. Everybody from the receptionist at the front desk to the nurses helping me get situated were lovely people who made me feel extremely comfortable. I was able to have all of my doubts relieved after speaking with the Dr Basseri. Best decision I’ve ever made and very grateful for everybody involved. I have noticed the compensatory swearing on my stomach but it isn’t nearly as bad as I expected, and a very worthy trade off for dry hands. I lived with sever Hyperhidrosis my whole life. 34 years of restrictions. For 34 years I felt like my body was a prison. Getting my nails done was short of relaxing. I had my surgery just over two months ago and it has changed my life! I’ve never felt more cared for than when I was at the Center for Hyperhidrosis. Each person I met was so supportive and willing to answer all of my many questions to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Basseri performed my surgery for sweaty feet 4 years ago and it was one of the BEST decisions I made – life changing! I suffered my entire life until that point, shoes were a disaster and I was frustrated and embarrassed on a daily basis. If you suffer from excessive sweating, schedule your surgery and get it taken care of ASAP! I have not had any compensatory sweating or negative effects of any kind. In fact, I swear it helped improved the sweating of my hands a bit as well (even though the doctor told me typically it doesn’t, I feel like it did because the one would sometimes trigger the other somehow!). The ETS surgery has completely changed my life, I didn’t even realize until after I had it that it took away my biggest insecurity.
I couldn’t be more thankful for Dr. Basseri and the entire K & B surgical center for making this an extremely comfortable experience. The surgery is very expensive if your health insurance doesn’t cover it which was my case unfortunately. Communication through the whole process was second to none. My surgery results produced hands that no longer sweat. MY hands have not sweated since my surgery. Weather it’s your feet armpits or hands Dr Basseri can make this problem go away. This surgery center exceeded my expectations! Everyone was so kind and Dr. Basseri explained the whole procedure in great detail and really helped me feel comfortable.
